Weightpack complies with Regulation (EC) 2023/2006: a concrete commitment to food safety

More safety, more trust, more value for our customers.

In the food and beverage industry, ensuring hygienic, precise, and compliant packaging is essential.

MOCA Materials and Objects in Contact with Food — refers to all materials intended to come into contact with food products. The purpose is to guarantee that these materials do not release harmful substances or alter the taste, smell, or safety of the food itself. The framework is defined by European Regulations 1935/2004 and 2023/2006, which set strict requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in food-contact production.

Weightpack’s net weight filling and capping machines fully comply with these regulations. Independent auditors recently assessed the production facility in Goito (MN), Italy, focusing on documentation, traceability, and hygiene standards. The audit confirmed strict adherence to industry best practices in safety, hygiene, and quality control, resulting in full GMP compliance. This achievement applies directly to the design and manufacture of food-grade filling and capping machines, ensuring maximum cleanliness, precision, and performance.

Compliance rests on three key principles

  • preventing contamination and protecting food safety
  • guaranteeing full traceability of materials throughout the supply chain
  • rigorously applying GMP to uphold consistent quality.

High standards are maintained not only by regulations but also by disciplined daily practices. Behaviors such as eating, drinking, or smoking in production areas are strictly prohibited, while systematic cleaning, maintenance, and hygiene protocols keep equipment in optimal condition. Every step of the process is documented to ensure transparency and accountability.

What does MOCA and GMP compliance mean for the company and for its customers?

Training plays a central role in sustaining these standards. Personnel are regularly updated on GMP principles, from raw material control to documentation management and personal hygiene. Continuous education ensures that the entire team remains aligned with evolving regulations and technological progress, keeping every solution future-ready.

For customers, this means more than compliance. Food packaging equipment is safer, risks across the production and distribution chain are minimized, and reliability is reinforced during audits, export procedures, and quality inspections. The result is stronger reputation, smoother access to international markets, and greater protection for consumers.

Beyond meeting regulations, Weightpack’s mission is to exceed them. Machines designed for edible oils, dairy, beverages, sauces, and other liquid food products are engineered with uncompromising attention to safety. Ongoing investment in innovation, quality control, and training ensures that each system represents reliability, compliance, and long-term value.
