Aerosol detail
Overview

Aerosol spray paint filling is not just a dosing operation—it’s a critical process that demands utmost precision, explosion-proof safety, and full traceability. Inaccurate fills, faulty closures, contamination, leakage or waste aren’t just technical issues—they’re production risks that impact efficiency and quality.

ATEX Environment

Explosion-proof construction

Handling spray paints in aerosol cans involves much more than dosing a viscous, flammable liquid. It means working with pressurized substances, subject to density and foam variations, in environments where even minor inconsistencies or leaks can lead to production downtime, safety concerns, or regulatory non-compliance.

In ATEX-classified areas (Class I Division 1), explosion-proof safety isn't optional—it’s mandatory. In such settings, accurate dosing, traceable processes, and cleanable equipment are essential for maintaining productivity without compromising safety.

Weightpack’s Approach
To meet these real-world demands, Weightpack developed a fully automatic, standalone solution integrating a net weight filler and a valve insertion and crimping module. This isn’t a retrofitted solution—it’s a system purpose-built for high-risk applications where precision and control are mission-critical.
At the core of the machine is a real net-weight filling system that reads each container 1,000 times per second and adjusts dosing in real-time, even with product variation. Load cells are isolated and protected, and a fully closed CIP system ensures fast, contamination-free cleaning.
The entire unit is built for consistent performance in ATEX environments, using certified materials, shielded components, and advanced software to monitor every parameter in real time.

Key Benefits for Production Teams

  • Always-accurate dosing with real-time corrections per container
  • Fast, tool-free changeovers to minimize downtime
  • Quick and safe cleaning via closed-loop CIP with dummy bottles
  • Reliable crimping with motorized control and programmable HMI settings
  • Hygienic and robust design for ATEX-classified zones
  • Real-time data tracking for continuous quality control and traceability

The Weightpack solution is not an adaptation—it’s engineered around the real needs of operators.
For those working daily between speed, safety, and quality standards, it’s the solution that delivers full control, performance, and peace of mind.
